oooo….we’ve been just {aching} to take the password protection off of this bee-you-tea-full engagement session! and….the day has arrived! the ever-so-darling {and popular} blog {engaged & inspired} will be featuring this session soon! stay tuned for the details…
sometimes you meet people in life that you were just {meant} to meet. at least that’s what i believe.
when we met this sweet couple, they simply oozed {loveliness}. and…they are oh-so-gag-worthy-in-love {smile}! every moment spent in their company was like being in the presence of family or a long-lost friend. these two darlings met at a worship conference about a year ago. elizabeth plays the piano and sings (in fact, she serenaded me in my own home on my own piano before our photoshoot started and….may i say she was simply divine). her beau, stephen, plays just about anything! he owns a recording studio, and is quite gifted! look him up here! in any case, he loved adam’s banjo so much, he requested to bring it along to our shoot! and…i’m so glad we did, because it fit right in! stephen played that banjo for us all the way up on our hike to this session spot! it created the mood…the folksy, endearing, and lilting tunes are part of what made this shoot such a joy!
so, this is the pacific northwest. people hike here! where we were raised, you would never be graced with this sort of scenery, much less have to hike up for anything{smile}. so, we’re still totally captivated by these views, these magnificent and soul-thrumming mountains. therefore, we thought it ever so appropriate to make the theme of this engagement photoshoot {an oregon vintage hiking engagement}! stephen happened to have proposed just a short hike away from where we did the photoshoot, at {wahkeena falls}! as you will see shortly, elizabeth is a {beauty}! she’s also a model! so, we were doubly blessed! we had to go vintage and 50′s for a little treat at the end of the session, just because! a little glamour mixed in with the wild, unfettered beauty of the columbia gorge {smile}!
and…if you’ll allow me to brag for a moment: nadia & kellen, our makeup artist & hairstylist that we’ve been working with for these projects and photoshoots we’ve been planning have been absolutely {incredible}! girls…you sort of need them for your wedding {smile}! they are quite the inspired team, and i’m just {lucky, lucky} to have met them! nadia & kellen, here’s to many more amazing photoshoots together! i adore your work!
